New Voters Project Actions

I Pledge to Vote on April 1st

Something big is happening in our democracy, young people are voting. We have been turning out in record numbers in the 2008 primaries.  Now we need to keep the momentum going for our local elections.

To make sure that politicans are paying attention to us here in Wisconsin, we need to make sure our voices are heard this Tuesday.

Turn Out Your Friends to Vote!

Something big is happening in our democracy, young people are voting. We are turning out in record numbers in the 2008 primaries and contests.  To make sure that politicans are paying attention to us here in Wisconsin, we need to make sure our voices are heard this Tuesday.  If everyone gets just 5 of their friends to vote, we will have a huge impact.

Here are some tips to get your friends out to the polls:

1. Talk to you friends and people you see everyday and encourage them to vote

2. Send a facebook message to your friends.

3. Text message your friends on election day and remind them to vote.

4. Hold an event on your campus to help get out the vote.  You can email rj@studentpirgs.org, if you have questions or for ideas

I pledge to help turn out my friends for the February 19th election!
