Ask Your Senators to Make College More Affordable
The
Higher Education Access Act of 2007 is a bill which increases grant aid for low
income students and helps make student loan debt more manageable by cutting $16
billion dollars from lender subsidies within the loan programs.
Call your senators and urge them
to vote YES for the Higher Education Act and vote NO on the Nelson-Burr
amendment to the Act. Call the Capitol switchboard at
(202) 224-3121 and request to be connected to the senators from your state. The
operator can also transfer you to your senators if you don't know who they
are.
